My name is Jess Barber, I am a Clinical Nutritionist and lover of coffee, food (der), Carl Barron and the ocean. I am a passionate integrative practitioner and I help women overcome their period problems and achieve optimal health.

When I first began on my health journey, it’s an understatement to say I had no idea what I was doing…I restricted. I followed crazy diet trends. I binged. I made every mistake possible. Going through this negative cycle sucked! But hey, it’s out of my system, and now… Now, I can share with you not only what NOT to do but what TO do and how to do it in an incredibly effective and sustainable manner.

I have been where you are. From period pain, hormonal acne, too irregular cycles, short and long, to no period at all. I thought this was normal and what I had to put up with… I’m here to tell you, it’s not and you don’t have to.In the depths of my period problems, achieving a state of health where I genuinely felt good, pain free and confident in my body, felt like it was an impossible goal. But that’s because I had no roadmap or clear plan of how I was going to get there.

Every time I tried, I felt overwhelmed by the conflicting information. I felt frustrated that I would spend money and time seeing practitioners, or trying a new diet or supplement, only to see absolutely zero improvement.I’d spend hours researching, obsessed with finding the magic answer… (spoiler, there is never one magic answer), only to end up more confused, more stressed and more overwhelmed than from where I started. Sometimes I would get some relief and improvements, only to be followed by a return of my symptoms.

My ‘roadmap’ at the time, upon reflection, was me just trying a whole bunch of different, random things and hoping something would stick. Fair to say… sh*t roadmap.I experimented with funky diets, ‘cleanses’, supplements, herbs, complimentary therapies, meditation, obsessive exercise routines, the list goes on.

Combine this experimentation with thousands of hours of research, a four-year university degree, and partnerships with mentors who are industry leaders in women's health… it's safe to say, I learnt a lot, and discovered methods and strategies that are truly effective.
